A whole bunch of the textures are translucent and invisible for some reason (I can see through walls). Anyone know what's causing this? It's the Windows download.
as some pointed out, theres no instructions, i do believe you forgot to properly add them, still, wasnt hard figuring it out, very enjoyable, freaky mode is the true way to go
ok nvm figured it out, the intro plays on its own and if you click it skips the whole thing, maybe change it so pressing a button only forwards to the next ''page''?
3 issues with this game. 1 There is NO way to hide at all which is a must in these kinds of games, especially when the enemy is an instant kill and takes up the entire hallway. 2 She always knows where you are and is impossible to get around. 3 No clear instructions on controls are present in any way or form. other than this it seems like a good game, but needlessly challenging with how big she is and the fact you literally have no way to win since there are over 100 areas that you can get trapped way too easily.
Hard mode was never on. I found out I just got very unlucky on all my runs because they were all small, enclosed rooms with no places to hide. It gave me the exact same layout each run so I assumed things. The game intro does not tell you about any controls at all, especially since there isn't an intro sequence at all in game. it just drops you into the game with no explanation once you hit start. there isn't an option to edit controls either, so I had to go in completely blind. (Edit) The tightness of most areas makes this game fairly hard since it doesn't play like a normal stealth game. The fact she takes up most of the space in the halls and rooms makes her impossible to get by if she decides to check the room your in. the cabinets, I find littered around would be good for hiding to prevent such scenarios from being as common as they are from my experience. I can only get 1 key before getting pinned like that in a room because you can't hide from her in cabinets or under things.
No clue either. It's possible ypu forgot to add the introduction sequence. Adding an option to check controls in case a player forgets or skips it accidentally would solve that problem entirely. I have noticed that she can hear you open doors or run regardless of distance and most hiding spots that should work don't due to how her vision works or don't allow you to go around her. Her size is a bit of an issue since you can easily get pinned in a hiding spot with no way around or past her ever being present anywhere. My suggestion is allowing us to use the clothes closets as a hiding spot, but make it a mini game to stay hidden when she's close. Mini game difficulty is ramped up to an 11 on hardmode. Just my suggestion based on similar games that do this without the mini game aspect.
So, I tried starting the game and it didn't work, due to "nw_elf.dll" not being found. I tried reinstalling, downloading it again and made sure I downloaded the windows version and it still doesn't work
Edit: Ok, so apparently my pc reads a file in the game as malicious and automatically deletes it, so that's fun. Does anyone know how to circumvent this?
Great game!! Only thing I'd like is a way to view each "ending" without needing to get caught. Either unlocked by getting eaten and picking an ending or beating the game and all 3 endings are unlocked.
thats a common thing folks seemed to want. If i update it with QoL stuff, i think ill add an ending gallery and a skippable cutscene when u get caught lol
This is a really great game but could benefit from an update, where with each game over, the next round has Clementine getting fatter and slower than before. As to make the game easier but also more exciting.
I meant no offense and wasn't undermining the effort you put into the game. I guess I just wanted to see it reach its fullest possible potential, that's all. But please understand that I love what you have made and am happy with it.
No no its cool i get it its just those animations took like, weeks and weeks of my devtime, probably the majority of said devtime and id really not like to sit and toil in animation hell for like another two months
Hello! I was excited to play this game! And then I launched it.
Firstly, the movement. I did eventually get used to it, but it's incredibly awkward to get a handle on, not helped by your camera sometimes flinging in a random direction seemingly spurred on by Clementine's presence. She also seems to be too good at finding you, or at least, the mechanics of hiding from her didn't seem evident, only fully clicking once I found the socks. Until then, I had around five failed attempts that all ended in an unskippable, lengthy death cutscene. (Even with Freaky Mode turned off, Clementine notices your character blushing, which is just kind of confusing.)
The gallery being a literal one full of the paintings you find is a fun idea. However, I would have also preferred the death scene images being there as well, especially since to access them, you must go through the aforementioned long and unskippable cutscene.
In conjunction with the awkward controls, the camera flicking, and the fact that you can only have one key at a time (Something that, while it is implied, is not stated), the basement area becomes very frustrating, especially since you cannot carry a map and a key at once.
I do like the concept of an anglerfish vampire, though. That's really fun. I hope that these issues could be addressed, if not by patching this game, then in your next project.
Most likely you are using a video card from AMD try running the game on a graphics adapter that is integrated directly into the central processor. Maybe it's because of the processor, I don't know
I have the same problem on AMD rx 6900 XT, after running on a laptop without a video card everything worked as it should
I ALSO couldn't tell you what kinds of graphics junk I use for my pc, but it seems to be a draw order issue over on Construct's end. Clearly this isnt an issue for EVERYONE but I figured it was a Mac thing? are you guys on Windows?

Great game, but im not sure how to hide from clementine. also what does freaky mode do?

Dude it is NOT that hard
1. you definitely CAN hide youre just bad at it. Make sure you dont have hard mode on.
2. hard mode would do that
3. I literally tell you all of the controls in the intro? maybe ur bad at reading

i am VERY sure there is an intro sequence with the story of the game followed by controls. I am unsure why you wouldn't have seen it

Yeah, lemme just do a whole extra round of animations over and over and over again thats definitely a quick thing
(i wanna be done with this)

Id have to say the camera flicking is a You thing, none of my playtesters or myself had issues with it.
I don't really get what's awkward about the controls, but at least youre just walking around, its not like a precision platformer or anything
ty for the feedback hyenard
Awesome!
why is it when i open the game i can see through every single wall?
Yeah, all objects are visible through walls for some reason.
couldnt begin to tell you folks how your games got that bad. No such thing happened for me or any playtesters

having same issue here. It's strange.
This game is really short and sweet over all it's like a 7/10 for me wish there was some new post game but outside of that it's a good game
